Ciaron Hoye, the former Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Birmingham and Solihull CCG, has joined healthtech supplier Blinx Healthcare.

Following his work on the National Document Repository and the Reasonable Adjustments Digital Flag, as well as VDI solutions to enable clinical staff to access EPR systems from home during the pandemicCiaron has joined the healthcare management software company as Chief Digital Officer (CDO).

Blinx Healthcare has developed a solution – PACO – that allows patients to book, query, and share information from home and practices to automate and reduce their workload. Built on scalable modern architecture principles, they help practices, PCNs, and Federations to connect across systems and reduce the 8am rush for appointments.

Ciaron will drive the digital strategy, build the product roadmap, and ensure the team has the right skills to keep Blinx at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

Commenting on the appointment, Ciaron said:

“Blinx’s commitment to social and green values first attracted me to the team – and then I saw what their powerful data analytics could do. Blinx are showing that we don’t have to work the way we have for the last 30 years, and we can use this rich data to transform models of care.

They have a great set of modern concepts and architecture, and they are set to disrupt primary care in a huge way. I’m here to use my experience of problems in general practice to make a real change.”

Gareth Bartlett, CEO and Co-founder, at Blinx Healthcare said:

“We are thrilled that Ciaron is joining the team, bringing a decade of experience in transforming primary care through digital innovation. At Blinx, we’re dedicated to delivering a truly integrated solution across Primary, Community, Urgent, and Secondary Care.

With PACO, we’re pioneering the first-of-its-kind Neighbourhood EPR that supports Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs), empowering care teams to work more efficiently while enhancing patient access and improving outcomes. With Ciaron’s deep passion for data re-use for social good, we’re excited to take our mission to the next level and set a new standard for patient-centred healthcare technology.”
